So, I've recently bought an 05 CRD liberty with 100K and some change in mileage. Its a silver 4x4 with the full time and part time transfer case. It is slightly damaged in the right rear quarter panel and the rear door was smashed in. Its not bad, I have a buddy that works in an auto body shop so he said he can do it no problem. But it was from colorado and I want to find out more about it, is there anyway of finding out the information about it besides what I got off of Carfax? Anyways, I've always wanted one of these especially a CRD, its my first JEEP and its a kj, which is awesome. I have a feeling that I'll be keeping this bad boy for quite some time. So that's me introducing myself. :)

Welcome. You will find the CRD Section very helpful with fixes. We even have traveling mechanics onboard. There are also some great vendors on this site for mods!!!

How do I post pictures? I'm not familiar with this format.

Photos: Host them somewhere (Photobucket, Shutterfly, Flickr, etc.; your ISP might provide space as well) and then link to them in your post.

Timing Belt: VERY IMPORTANT! Do read up on Timing Belt issues and verify that yours has been changed recently (due at 100K miles). Very bad things happen when they break.

Welcome to the forum. The CRDs are awesome!!!

Thank you, I'm coming from Tacoma World so theirs is a little bit more different.

Yea, I want to actually do that as soon as I get the body fixed on it. It was slightly hit in the rear end. So after the body shop, its gonna get new fluids, filters, belts and etc. And YES diesels are AWESOME!!! I've been wanting one for the past 5yrs.

UPDATE: So, after finding out that there are a few mods done to it already such as the provent, an in-line thermostat was added for some reason, and . I figured why not continue modding it to make it better. So the following things will be going on soon.
Weeks elbow kit or the EGR delete stage 1 and 2. I found out that the thermostat gasket was toast and that I found out the hard way that it was pouring buckets so that's getting changed. All the filters have been purchased and going in soon. New fluids. I know I MUST CHANGE the timing belt and water pump at 100k, but mines already at 100,4xx so I figured I should first check if it had been changed or not then proceed to change if it hadn't. I also bought an electronic boost guage to monitor the levels.

I believe that's all for now. I will be getting the GDE Hot tune later to clear the CEL and delete the EGR from the ECU and to also get the added HP benefits as well.

If there's anything else I should do to make this a long lasting bullet proof vehicle, just let me know.
