Welcome to lost!

Before you start modifying, there's a bit of routine maintenance that is required at the mileage your at.

By any chance would you have the service records dating back to 2010? That would help yourself out if you had those records.

Glad you found us!

I don't actually have any of the service records, except for the water pump I had replaced last week.

And you're probably right haha.

*spoiler alert*
There might be a thread up later about 100,000 mi maintenance

when did you buy the liberty at? mileage wise.

and what maintenance has been completed on it?

I assume since the water pump was replaced, the coolant was flushed?

5 miles... Got it new!

Oil change every 3000-5000 mi
(With some exceptions)

Tires rotated w. oil changes

Swapped the serpentine belt with the water pump

Replacing a cracked windshield wiper fluid tank this week.

Brake pads replaced about a month ago.

Had to replace the air conditioning vent system a couple months after buying it... It wasn't matching up with the face/floor/defroster dial

And I replaced the windshield wiper fluid sprayers a couple months ago too!

That's the maintenance history of the car.

^^ the oil filter was changed a couple times too.

Post subject:  Re: Hello Everybody! 2010 Jeep Liberty Renegade

that's awesome you are the original owner!!!

well, first things first... REPLACE THE SPARK PLUGS. they are 70k miles over their time. you will gain fuel efficiency back, more power, and if not already, no more cel! spark plugs should be replaced every 30k miles, but you could get away with a few thousand over. haha, not 70k over.

the intake filter should be replaced every time you change your spark plugs unless you off road your jeep, then it gets replaced when signs arise.

your differential fluids need changed, transfer case and transmission too.

brake fluid and power steering fluid verify levels and or change. better to change.

have all of the rubber brake lines been visually checked for no cracks?

EDIT: inspect all of the rubber hoses and boots on the jeep.

so basically change all of the fluids, spark plugs and air filters. you'll love your jeep even more and she'll purr for you.

there are write ups about all of the said items listed above if you need help with anything. good luck.

maybe wash under your liberty to remove some grease buildup and make it a little easier for the mechanic or who ever is doing the maintenance items.

no problem. once those necessary items are taken care of, you could then tackle your lift desire.

I just wouldn't recommend modifying the suspension when you have other more serious issues to worry about you know what I mean?

would you happen to have the owners manual or the site address for the manual. for your references.

Alright! So, I'm about to order everything that I need for the "PALiftedKK 100,000 mi maintenance package"

Just to clarify, if there's not a capacity indicated, most of these fluids come in quart containers w. the exception of the power steering fluid I think (12 oz maybe)

Does a quart sound like the right volume for those fluids?

some of the members here recently helped out another member needing similar help.

the link will help you out with the fluid quantity and type.

Alright here's the update gang... I also really appreciate the help!

Image

2 of these for engine coolant
With 2 gallons of distilled water

Image

6x spark plugs
Spaced them out to .43

Image

9x for my transmission

Image

1x new transmission filter

Image

2x for transfer case

Image

2x front diff

Image

2x rear diff

Image

1x to re-seal the rear diff.
-originally went for the high temp RTV. The AAP employee suggested this instead.

Image

2x for brakes

Already changed my power steering fluid and air filter.

Just to clarify... You recommend doing complete flushes of all of these fluids?

Also wanted to see what you all thought about those products!

-Mike

NO! To the Coolant HOAT Only!

And I would switch the plugs to copper cores.

Author:  PALiftedKK [ Mon Aug 17, 2015 8:37 pm ]
Post subject:  Re: Hello Everybody! 2010 Jeep Liberty Renegade

X2^^^ HOAT only!!!

copper core plugs are recommended for the 3.7s. return the plugs if you can and visit the stealership for plugs. or online if you can wait.

yes to the complete flush. do a few flushes of the engine coolant. if you don't its not really a big deal, just that your putting in new coolant and there's still nastiness in the hoses...

Post subject:  Re: Hello Everybody! 2010 Jeep Liberty Renegade

Alright! Only HOAT

Is that a mopar only product??

And I'll switch those out for copper plugs!

Hybrid Organic Additive Technology (HOAT) personally, id call the dealership for how much theirs is. amazon has Mopar coolant for under 30 bucks. diluted and concentrate.
