Just wanted to drop in and say how much I've enjoyed and learned from reading this forum. I picked up my first Jeep, an '08 KK Limited a year ago and am really enjoying it. Very capable in it's stock config here at 9000 ft in the snow last winter. I don't have any plans for rock crawling, but have ventured places my 3 series BMW doesn't belong. So far so good. I have read several complaints about the oil filter location, and while not ideal, it's not really that bad. I do want to add skid plates which I'm sure will then make it the PITA others have described. Has anyone done a remote filter? Any ideas for a location? Any input is appreciated and I look forward to reading more about what others have done and are doing to their KK. Thanks, Colorado Native |
