I have recently bought an 08 KK Cherokee (as it is badged here) in a lovely deep red, with the sky slider roof. Having owned an XJ and WJ (Which ended up doing 180000 miles), I was looking forward to owning one again after a 5 year gap. Unfortunately my first few weeks have not gone smoothly. I bought the Jeep privately, and it after a couple of days had a warning light come on and went into limp mode. My mechanic attached the laptop to the car and it came back with a Turbo underboss error. We tried the fuel filter first but still had the problem. We have now removed the turbo and are replacing it with a re-manufactured one on monday. Hopefully that will sort it. Also bought so weather strip to take care of the wind noise from the Sky Slider. Here's hoping I can return to 'Jeep Joy' again soon. Thanks to LOST for helpful advice etc. |
