If you are in warmer climate location which you seem to be in Hawaii you can pull the relay for the Viscous Heater and stick it in the glove box like many of us have done who live in southern or warmer climates. My relay has been removed for well over three years now with no issues.
The relay is located in the power distribution center under the hood in front of the battery....
Some members have even gone so far as to totally remove the complete viscous heater system and installing a shorter serpentine belt...
