Hello, I'm a natural lurker in all forums and sites on the internets, but I'm thinking about creating a post in the CRD forum today, so I thought I'd do the introduction thing and and link it if needed.

This summer I purchased a 2006 Liberty CRD (the nicest one in Alberta on the Jiji at the time), which had been well taken care of and has all the factory bells and whistles included. This is my new daily driver to replace a 20 year old rusty corolla with something cool for a change.

Between summer and now I've been working through parts of the noob guide, replaced the brakes, chased a chirpy pulley and ended up replacing all the different pulley bearings, tensioner, and alt decoupler pulley, and for good measure the harmonic balancer, and solved a problem with getting stuck in a low gear.

This weekend I worked on both stages of the Week's EGR delete (fun times), as well as prepping to install a Webasto coolant heater, a giant Odyssey battery, Week's battery tray, and one of Jeff B.'s thermostats. I jumped on the thermostat not because there's anything wrong with the one I have, but because I'm also from the Edmonton area and got all excited when I saw that the custom, serviceable, hot thermostat is made by a fellow Edmontonian. Also because these 05/06 Liberty CRDs are getting older, so all the cool parts and work everyone on this forum has already done is probably going to start to get less and less available in the next 5-10 years.

Lastly with winter about to dump on Edmonton I'm prepping some 235/75r15 winter steelies my dad gave me off his Ranger - looks like they will fit with ~1mm clearance on the calipers :^)

Lot's more fun stuff to do to this Jeep (my first Jeep) thanks to everyone who's pounded away on the Liberty CRD over the last decade+.
