Just re-joined since my old info seems to have disappeared... I found lots of tech info from this site so thanks! I have a 4wd Ford Ranger in which I transplanted a 2005 KJ 2.8CRD motor, 45RFE and transfer case.... The truck runs and drives but has still got a few teething problems.... Overall, the physical install was pretty straightforward.... I had to "remodel" the firewall considerably in order to clear the front diff. I used the entire underhood package except the electric fans.... used a pair of smaller Spal units. Used Liberty front hubs in order to get the speed information. In the cab, used the Liberty instruments and steering column.. Used a Ram diesel fuel pump in the tank for good fuel flow...

I'm trying to understand how the vapor recovery system works.... I can't find any diagram for the diesel vapor system.... b/c it's not connected, it is making the car throw a hard code and sometimes makes it go into limp home mode...... any help would be much appreciated

The CRD engine doesn't have an evaporative system.
If you used the correct ECU you should not be getting that kind of code.

Post a picture of the canister so we can know exactly what you are talking about.
