Hello All, 3yrs ago I bought my first diesel (F250) - still have it and pulling 8k#'s across the South East. 2yrs ago bought my first turbo gasser (VW Passat) - it accomplished it's mission of eating many many miles while going to CFP school. Last week bought my first Jeep! Picked up a 2005 Liberty 2.8 CRD w/ wiggly turbo, worthless alternator, paper weight battery, and 007 smoke screen generator. Yet, the body is in great shape, new tires, Limited edition, only 89k miles and a great buy price. This is going to be a fun project Just pulled the turbo out yesterday. The only good thing about pulling an 89k mile turbo is the mounting bolts haven't had time to seize yet. I am tempted to put in cheap chinese turbo. Somebody help me! I feel like I'm walking into a bar with penny beers in my 20's - this isn't going to end well. |

Welcome to the addiction! Where are you located in GA? I am in central Georgia north of Macon. If you have not read the NOOB guide, you need to read and study it, maybe even a couple of times. A huge wealth of information for new Jeep Liberty CRD owners. Sam's CRD Noob Guide: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=54207 Then ask your questions; lots of very helpful and experienced owners on this forum who can guide you through most any issue. Most have been there, done that! |

Thanks WWDiesel for the info! I'm just north of Atlanta, just outside city limits of Woodstock. |
