Hey all,
After lurking around the forum and wanting and wishing, I finally was able to get a low mileage (61***) 05 crd a couple weeks ago. Flew to northern UT from Phoenix and drove her home. I may have paid a little premium but I'm fine with that.

Managed to find out cooling was an issue on the way home . So after determining that the engine bay appears to be un touched it's time for some love. I took care of the cheap stuff fairly quickly but decided to bite the bullet and ordered a timing kit from Sasquatch and a new radiator from Rock Auto. Between those and a couple other little needs, my wallet feels like I put it on a massive diet.

Living in Phoenix and battling 110+ temps I need the cooling sorted. It was building too much heat on a short ~40 mph drive up a very slight incline. I'm trying to figure out what's the next step but figuring how to delete or disable the EGR without emissions catching on is next.

I've been reading around the forum for a while and I hope I can get all the factory installed kinks ironed out. I would like to eventually get this thing turned into a reliable expedition vehicle.

Thanks for the add...

Welcome to the addiction!
Since you're taking it off anyway, I recommend, at least, a new thermostatic fan clutch unit, if not step up to a severe duty gm clutch and 11 blade fan. The fan weighs about 1/3 what the stock steel one weighs, pulls more air, and helps the clutch last longer.
