Hi everyone!
I have been visiting this forum as a guest many times and found a lot of good information.
I have just bought a 2006 KJ with a 2.8 CRD engine and trying to figure out how I should get rid of the EGR in the best way. The forum seems to have a lot of info
Porting the cylinder head as we speak and that is an interesting exercise I would say.
Nice to meet you all - looking forward to having great discussions with ya all. :pepper:

Regards,
Waltsu

Welcome aboard
If it's like the US models the quickest way is to install a block off plate. See picture below,
You can make it out of any thin sheet metal like the top of a soup or vegetable can.

Welcome!
I prefer gutting the whole system. You can buy the kit from sasquatch motorsports, or use the existing egr pipes to make caps. Then you just need to buy a 5/8" x 5/8" brass splice (home depot) to eliminate the coolant circuit, And plug the port exiting the head.

Welcome Waltsu,

The kits have the parts needed and a few good video links on this forum to see the process.

Lots of CRD wizards here so I'm sure you'll find lots of suggestions on to spend money

Sasquatch unfortunately no longer seems to list the Weeks elbow kit or any EGR delete kits for our Jeeps.

IDParts does still list a EGR coolant bypass kit and a EGR exhaust manifold cap.

That's right.
I actually called the guys and asked as well... but they are not in business with any weeks kit anymore. Sad.
