Just bought a 2005 crd liberty 4x4 auto, 99K miles. The first week of owning it I replaced the upper and lower control arms, hub bearings, rotors, pads, ball joints, strut mounts, stabilizer links and had it aligned. Also I ordered the CCV reroute kit with provent. Next up is timing belt, waterpump etc... egr, cooler delete and some tuning. I will use this to pull my diesel pulling truck around the pits and also flat tow it behind my motorhome. I am sure there are other things I need to be doing so hopefully you guys can help me out when I have questions. If tuning are studs recommended? |

Welcome to the addiction! Sounds like you are on the right track. No. 1 best and most important Mod if it has not already been done is to either block off the EGR feed or totally remove the entire EGR system completely using a kit that is still available on eBay. Complete removal is best! https://www.ebay.com/itm/EGR-FCV-Delete ... Sw-89ZSw6t https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fire-Engine-Re ... SwPx5diS5P No. 2 best Mod is adding an in-tank fuel pump. Prevents all air in-leakage to fuel system forever and will actually make engine run a little smoother. There are several other advantages as well. viewtopic.php?p=264760#p264760 http://www.auerbach.ca/kj/lift_pump/ If you have not read and studied the NOOB Guide, please do so, it has a wealth of information for new CRD (and sometimes old ones) owners. viewtopic.php?f=5&t=54207 PS: You may want to read through it several times....
