This might be the hardest community to get into! I recently picked up a 2005 CRD from the salvage auction with 297k miles on it. It was very well taken care of by the previous owner from what I can tell. I have been searching through the pages here for wisdom and will tackle the timing belt and most likely the cylinder head and gasket here over winter. I need to fix a few body panels and the intercooler first. I have two other diesels, a 2003 ALH Jetta with 418k miles and a 2007 Duramax that has quite the build list. I look forward to learning and hopefully contributing on this forum. |

Welcome. Yes! It was hard to get on!!! But I will say the knowledge about the CRD on this site is simply amazing!! There is a couple threads about how to take care of and things to do to your crd. Check them out. They will pretty much answer most if not all your questions. Happy tuning! |
