I bought a new to me Liberty CDR almost a year and a half ago. This little 4x4 amazes me. My wife loves it and takes it all kinds of crazy places, through mud, snow and over bigger rocks than I would think possible. I came here to this forum though because it has issues and hope to get my questions answered.

My Liberty is a 2006 CRD and it is stock. For now, I plan to keep it that way because I have a 1971 CJ5 that almost has no 2 parts bolted together. I have all the parts and I plan to do a whole lot of upgrades in the process of rebuilding. I have a set of Dana 44's for starters. The transfer case will get new low gears or get totally replaced. The engine I have currently is the 225 odd fire V6, while this engine is a bit low on horse power, it is a very torquey little engine so I'm not sure if I want to use it or not. I may start with it and swap it out later as an engine swap can easily be done in a day. It will be fun.
