So i'm told that the speakers in the dash are 3.5"

i went on Crutchfield.com to look at 3.5" speakers for the dash, but it keeps telling me that none of the 3.5" speakers will fit.

i would like to buy these:

how can i go about making them fit?

I replaced mine in my 2012, yes you have a KJ, but almost wish I had gone smaller.
These are available for all Libertys

then use 1 1/2-2" speakers.

Installing a proper set of component speakers would give you better sound than installing those small coaxials in the dash.

Without cutting, 3.5" will not fit in the front dash of a KJ.
