I haven't but I know others have. I've designed a few into machines I've done at work so if you have other questions fire away.

have a 500 watt mounted in the rear between the window and the outlet on the angled surface, been there 4 years now, works great have had laptops, Christmas lights, cell phone chargers, work lights etc hooked to it, sometimes wish it was bigger but it does most of what I need it to do. Will not run a circular saw though!

Yeah, I saw his thread. Wouldn't have worked for my application, but I've since changed my plans.

Thanks though.

Yeah, I just saw his post. It turned out great. My plans now are...

install some rock lights I just bought and maybe someday I'll figure out what I want to do for an inverter setup.

Sport's is really nice though. One in the front like that and then one in the rear cargo area would be really nice, and that will most likely be what I do.

Yeah, after thinking about it, I think I want mine in the tailgate. I will just require a little more wiring for the 'constant' power lead, but it will serve my purposes better. When I camp/fish/hunt/etc... most of my electrical things are on the ground behind the jeep... so the tailgate may be the better location.

I know I want one in the rear as well. I keep that area like a work station so I'd like some power back there. The front would also be really nice to power stuff on long drives.

I have a 1500 watt one installed under the passenger seat. Works really well. I needed to keep it fairly close to the battery drawing that many watts. It's raised about an inch off the floor on brackets for better circulation and in case of water. The wires I ran from the back through the center console to keep it looking clean. Here are some pics.

No, I put an ANL fuse in line close to the battery.
