Hello, I currently have a 6 disc changer in our '06 Liberty but would like to be able to play MP3s. There are a ton of 6 disc MP3s from Commanders on Ebay. Will it fit in the Liberty and will all the wiring work? If it won't fit without modification, what would have to be done to make it fit? Thanks, Eric |

I'm going to have to say no. I looked at a few on EBay and they all have square corners. The stereos in the libby have rounded corners. They will probably bolt on, and the adapter is most likely the same (or convertable) but I think you'd have to trim the front panel of the center console. I could be wrong about the corners. I know that my '02 and my wifes '06 both have rounded corners. if your corners are square, you'll probably be ok. |

Seems almost not worth it - why go through the hassle of hacking up the dashboard to make a different factory deck fit when you can get more features and better sound quality for a lower price by going with aftermarket. |

The newer vehicles (06+ Grand, Commander, 07+ Wrangler...) use a different communication bus system (CAN versus the older PCI in the Liberty). Altering the dash would be the easy part, but finding a data conversion unit that would convert the CAN to PCI and vice versa would be the hard part. |

No sense in replacing garbage with garbage. Go aftermarket, you will be 100x happier. |

who said anything about quality? I said a challenge....and the whole point of the challenge is to make the impossible possible.....for example, take off-roading. do you think people do it because they cant find roads to drive on? |

Lol! Good point. But I believe there are a few people on this forum who actually need the offroading ability just to get to those roads. |
