I just got the Ipod interface installed on my Jeep with the RBP radio. I really like the idea of having three days worth of tunes in my glove box without having to carry around a ton of CD's. The sound so far is good, but I have a few observations/questions.... For the others of you who have this interface, how many playlists are you able to access? The documentation says five, but when I was thumbing through the settings it appeared to work with twelve. I love being able to select from Genre of music, but it seems not to pick up my custom styles. Anyone find a workaround? The volume seems a little low, but I may just need to tweak it. Also, I usually use the Rock EQ setting, but it seems to overpower the radio and speakers. Do most of you guys run with the Ipod EQ flat and tweak things with the radio EQ, or leave the Ipod the way it is and turn down the bass on the radio? Now that I have it working with the cheap radio, I REALLY want to get an RB1 so that I can see all of the song info on screen. Do any of the other radios allow you to scroll through by artist or am I going to have to spring the big bucks for an RB1? Any input is always appreciated! |
