New guy here...

Just wanted to know if anyone has mounted a second battery in their Liberty's? I want to install a few extras, CD, Ham radio, power inverter, and thought another battery might help out.

thanks
Brad

I have a wire going from the (+) of the main battery to a 200 amp relay, under the hood, through the firewall (there is a hole there that you can use) to the (+) on my second battery. The second battery is grounded to one the bolt that holds down the seat belt.

I dont currently have a junction box, but all the equipment hanging off the second battery have their own inline fuse.

cool, I'm going to try this soon. I want to put a tool box with drawers where you have the battery, then mount a big power inverter to it, with a battery on the other side. That should work out putting the wiring under the carpet.

thanks again.

I've been looking at battery relocation kits myself. I was thinking of relocating the org battery to the rear and maybe a second battery alongside it. I basically thought the space up front could be utilized for something other than a battery.

Do that and you can screw with the stealership techs. They look under the hood and find a compressor in the batteries place.

Billforde,

Sounds like a chance to do a good write-up and supporting pictures.

Anyone else do something different?
