Alright, I was wondering if anyone was able to install a sub under the rear seat? I
ve considered the mopar 6.5" driver seat sub, but I have heard mixed reviews on it. I like to have the ability for my mirrors to shake a little bit (when I am in one of those moods) and apparently the mopar sub will "round out the sound".

I have a JL 10" W0 in a wedge enclosure, but I would love to try and build a box that can mount under the rear seat. Has anyone tried this? I will take trunk space over sound quality for my jeep, so basically the sub has to be hidden somewhere versus in the middle of the trunk.
Does anyone know if it will work? Will the seat still be able to fold down?
Thanks!
-Mark

You can get an 8 under the front seat, but no way under the back seat, I barley had room for my navigation unit under the back seat

Do you have an 8" under the front seat? If so, what brand, airspace? Where did you fit the amp?
(Is the factory sub a 6.5?)
Thanks

Drool!

That is gorgeous! We have a competition grade place here in NE ohio called auto sound & security (that's an original one if I have ever heard one) who carries JL, BA, and I think the high end alpine. They do those sort of installs. I am thinking of going over there to get quoted to have my 10 mounted somewhere that I can still utilize the entire trunk, but darn, if I didn't need to put tools in my trunk everyday I would love to have a setup like yours.

Is the board with the crossovers and the cap mounted in your amp rack or somewhere else? I can't tell where it is mounted.
Sweet install nonetheless.

Thanks,The board with the crossovers and cap is right behind the back seat facing forward. What about a JL audio stealth box and the amp under the front seat?

I have two 8" subs mounted under my front seats. You can see the box buildup on my cardomain site in the link in my signature.
