I am putting a system in my car (2 10" Infinity 10DVQ's and Kappa Perfect Components, 560 watt 4 way Infinity amp and 1200 watt Infinity mono amp total amps 200) since these 2 amps pull 200 amps and the jeep only has a 136amp alternator i need a bigger one. Does anyone know where i can find a replacement?

You may want to contact Mean Green and see if they can build one for you. I have been thinking about upgrading the alternator also (can't afford it yet), however there is nothing listed aftermarket anywhere. These guys build quality stuff, and should be able to help ya out. Good luck and keep us posted on any finds.

If you don't mind the increased heat and drive belt resistance of high output alternators, then check out http://www.h-o-alternators.com/finddealer.htm

The one that is stock in the renegade is a 160 amp. That is all i would do to upgrade the alternator. I would use at least a 1 farad capacitor by the amps. those help out alot.

I have a fairly nice system in mine also and my volt gauge was all over the place until I put in the Optima Red Top. Helps sooo soo much, but I would recoommend with that much power to definately upgrade the alternator, you can usually use the existing one and get it upgraded at an alternator shop. That is what I did with my last car.

I TOTALLY agree with this statement. A capacitor REALLY REALLY helps out your draw. I went from my headlights dimming with each bass hit to no problems whatsoever with running my system.
