OK, I just put together my RAM GPS mount from https://www.custommounts.com, and it is very nice. I don't know what others are using, but this thing is very sturdy. I've only had it on roads, but I'll update this after a run on 12/30. I ordered the following suction mount... Items Ordered: Price: RAM-HOL-GA16U /UNPKD RAM HOLDER GARMIN ETREX COLOR $7.57 RAP-B-166 / RAM MOUNT W/ SUCTION BASE DBL ARM DIA $20.89

I figured that this was a way to take ownership of my present... Quote: Did you get the new Mic for the cb? Whats it hanging from? Yes, I got the "75" model powered mic. Until I go over to Eddo's next weekend, I don't have any way to test it. Walcott threw in a clip for hanging it from the mirror - nice. Hey! Your looking at top quality memories there bud. Slade, Camp Jeep, & Livingston. Next thing you know you'll be wanting me to clean the mud out from the top of my skid plates! |

I thought it might be. It was so nice, I thought others might want to know how to get it. |

Thanks for the pics of your mount, it is very much what I am looking for. What is the arm length (between the pivot balls), and also the diameter off the ball ends? I want to be able to easily move my unit from the KJ to a ball mounted on motorcycle handlebars. I would like an arm length between 5 and 6 inches. Do you power your vista Cx from the lighter and if so have you had any problems? Thanks for any info on the mount! Dumb question from a new KJ owner - What is so evil/bad about the ESP? Admittedly, from the standpoint of a shadetree mechanic, all this technology scares the foo out of me. In many ways, automotive tech reached its peak with the Model A. |

Hey, I have the same mount. I love the RAM system with it's ability to get parts seperately. As for the main tube, it all depends at how close you want the screen to be. Mine is similar as the one in the picture. It's pretty much the shortest I would recommend. I would even go even 1 inch longer. |

In many ways, automotive tech reached its peak with the Model A. i'll get measurements when i get home from xmas, but esp is evil in the 6spd only because they dont have it optimized for it. we 6spd owners get a bad dogging of the engine from the esp when we pull out and turn at the same time |
