So, I've finally gotten off of my lazy butt and took some pics of the JVC KD-AVX2 I threw in the KJ back in the beginning of November! The unit is pretty sweet. I've got the iPod adapter hooked up to it, and the iPod end running into the glovebox with plenty of slack for the passenger to hook up the iPod if needed while driving. You can then control the iPod via the radio and/or remote. The radio is satellite radio ready, does Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS decoding, has video out for additional monitors, speaker distance timing adjustment, video in for backup camera which changes the radio's display to the camera when you put the vehicle in reverse, dual zone audio so if ya got kids, they can watch and listen to the kiddie shows in the back while you can watch and listen to whatever you want in the front....and the list goes on. It also plays mp3, which you can load up to @ 3500 onto a DVDR. I have yet to test Divx, WMV, MPEG, JPEG, etc. Basically I'm totally impressed with this radio! Here's the link to the complete specs.

Wow that looks like it turned out really nice. How does the video look in sunlight? |

Looks pretty good. If the sun is directly on it, the picture can get bit dark from the sun's glare, but is still distinguishable. The picture quality is amazing on this screen. The pics really don't do it justice, as it's the first time I've used my fiancee's digi cam. The colors and picture are really bright and vibrant. Thanks! |

It does look very fancy. Is that a pocket built into your bezel? If so what kind of stuff does it hold? |

I hoped that I could've found the one without it, cuz it wont even hold a cd case without really forcing it in! Now, to mount some LED's there for a remote radar detector might be pretty sweet! |

What bezel is that? I've been looking for one with a pocket so I can put a slot loading DVD drive up front. I see you're watching Inside Man |

Yup, you got the movie correct! I haven't really watched it yet, just put it in for the pics. For the bezel, it's a Metra piece. Not sure what the part number ended up being. I usually go to circuit city to get all of my dash kits, wiring harnesses, and antenna adapters, since they carry Metra. Definitely try to stick with Metra components when doing an install. Let me know if ya have any other questions on the install or the radio. Hope this helps! |

All the kits I see from the US always have that slot. Hmmm My DIN adapter plate came from the shop and I didn't even look at the brand. Most dealers sell DIN adapters over the parts counter with a OEM Part # here. As well as the wire harness adapter. |

Usually, to watch a DVD while driving, you can just short-out the parking brake sense wire. Not that I'd recommend watching a movie while driving |
