I wired up a used/ebay EVIC in my '06 sport CRD and it doesn't turn on. I checked the B+, ingtion +, and groud and all seem to be OK. what can I check next? how can you tell if you have a bad EVIC? |

You can try wiring the Ignition sense line to the B+ line. If the console then works, you've had the wrong ignition output wire. |

so if I just put 12V to pin 3 and 4 (BAt + and Gnd) it should turn on and at least light up? |

If it doesn't come up with Ignition+ and B+ tied to battery positive and B- tied to battery negative, then it's probably toast. It should at least say something like "Bus Error" when you do this. Can you send it back? |
