Hey, I know you guys have to have Radar's in them Jeeps  So list your set-up here, and tell me what you think is the best and why. I'd personally like to know because I am on the market for a new detector.

I have an Escort Passport 8500 X50. It is an older version of the new Passport 9500i. THe only real difference is the new one has a GPS inside it so you can mark common false alarms so it doesn't go off every time you pass that same stupid gas station with the electronic front door. I would highly reccommend any of the ones from Escort. They are top notch. You can find the 8500 X50 used on eBay or CL all of the time pretty reasonable. I have been using this one for a couple of years. I speed pretty much all of the time, and I don't have a ticket yet. (knock on wood)

I don't need to spend the money on one, I drive the speed limit. Forty-Five years driving and 1 speeding ticket.

I have the red. Got it off CL for only $60. Still had the box, hard case, and a permanent wiring kit.

This is what I have Whistler XTR-260.
It works extremely well and helps let me know when cops are around. I got it for free because my brother works for an electronics distributor and they have freebies from time to time.

Love my Valentine ONE :D although they are one of the more expensive. I like how I can send it in for an updated version for something like $200. Cheaper in the long run. I have had mine for 10 years and still works great. What I really like is the bogey counter and direction the radar is coming from. Keeps you informed when the cops are shooting at one location and again just up the road a little ways. I have received one ticket while running with my valentine but that was my own fault  . I was going 80 in a 55 thru a city in Kentucky on a holiday weekend. The police were sitting up on the overpass shooting down at traffic with 5 pick-em-up police up the road 1/4 mile. I usually run with a CB but didn't grab it for this trip. Valentine one did go off but only to tell me I was just hit with laser. Wasn't the Valentines fault and no other detector would have helped either with the laser thing. If I had my CB, that may have helped though. Anyways, best of luck in your search.
