Just remember that trees and parking garages LOVE to EAT antennas, so the long you go the more you will have to fight them off to keep you prized antenna. I have a 42 incher on the roof, and it works fine, I just have to remember to fold it over. I would suggest looking at firestik II adjustable antenna cause I have heard great things about them. yes they are more expensive, but they are worth it.
