| Post subject: | Light bars other than Mopar? |
Newbie here, and I was wondering if anyone knows of any off the shelf light bars other than the Mopar version? Not sure I have the time to set up a full on custom, but I was searching for an alternative to the stock light bars. Any advice and time estimates on custom bars is much appreciated as well! Thanks! |

I got cross bars on ebay for $45 and will now buy set of lights. jsc7002, which lights are those, they look OK but they are a bit rusted. And those of you running your own lights from roof, which route did you take it to get it to battery? I don't want to pinch them at the door. |

Through the roof rack supports. Slide a preferably (plastic) putty knife into the roof rack support slowly pry apart the support, there are three tabs holing it together, If you want to completely remove the support you will need to remove three screws. I did a search and found this. It might give you and idea.

Maximum Carnage, thanks, that looks like a bit more job than I am willing to dip in.. I just went outside and took a look at what I might do, jsc7002's way as I see it might be much easier. Just pull the wires down to the side of the rail, then lift the seal a little bit (not too much) and run it from there straight to hood, then under the winshield plastic area, down to the relay. I will wait for jsc7002's pictures to see if he did what I just visualized. Since I plan to run 4 lights, I might end up doing two on each side and bring them together under the hood. |

They are Hella FF75 There are two types of FF75 driving (HL74322) and fog (HL74323). I have the driving model. If you notice they weren't hooked up when I took the picture I just did the wiring yesterday. |

How bright are they? Do you like them? Do they have a focused beam? Any problems at all? |

They work great and yes they do have a focused beam, I though of doing two driving and two fog but I'm I might put some on the RL front bumper when I get it. This lights have been used by several members of L.O.S.T. and I have never heard of any problems, I hope I don't come across any I just installed mine. |

jsc7002, that's looking OK, not that bad. I would probably tape them inside rather than outside. Although I am a bit concerned with the car-wash places with all the wires sticking out.. I would tuck them away real good and would probably use excessive taping/tubing. |

that's what a jeep does to you.. I have seen many people with flimsy hookups on their roof, and they seem to do fine at the car wash.. well, gotta try it then |

I like your round lights, I also like the 550s or rectangular ones, but they don't go with curvy KJ. I thought 500s were too big, but I guess they should be just fine. |

this is what i'm doing. i'm going to put two driving in the center and a fog on either side. i want to run the driving and fogs to two different switches so i have the option for a long focused beam, a wider field of light, or both, of course. |
