Well, I am getting a "Parrot" installed in the Jeep in the next week or so.
Has anyone else ever used one or installed one? I am just curious as to where you put it in the Jeep. Would love to see a picture, but I'll post mine when it's done. Should be a neat tool to have in the car for hands free operation. I'm turning 33 next week and it's a gift. This way I can shave, eat cereal, read the paper, watch the GPS, AND talk on the phone all at the same time!!! |

I got the Parrot installed yesterday. Microphone was installed in the top corner of the windshield on the pillar and the unit was installed on the dash right beside the power on knob on the RB1 stereo. It is a pretty cool gadget if you live in your Jeep for work like I do. Completely hands free and uses the car stereo as the speaker system. It mutes the radio when you make a call or receive a call and hasn't interfered with the Navigation system or anything else. It came with a specific Liberty Wiring harness that plugs into the factory stereo. More importantly: My new rock rails are currently being fabricated and should be finished in the next couple of weeks!!!! |

Yep, with more bells and whistles than U-connect, and better clarity on the other end. |

Parrot is a bluetooth system for hands free operation of your cell phone. Even if you have a speaker phone and voice dialing on your cell phone, this still blows it away with ease of use for driving. here is a review of the system. http://www.geek.com/articles/mobile/par ... -20060921/ |

My friends shop installs Parrots and they sold good until the BT came out in aftermarket stereos, OEM stereos and Nav systems. My Garmin Nuvi 680 has BT and is what I use. |
