Post subject:  Air blower speed control

I have searched the forums and have not found the answer to my question which is; Has anyone had the problem with the air blower speed control. I have a 2006 Liberty Renegade and the problem is I do not have 1,2,3, only 4 which is high. Is there a way to trouble shoot the speed control?

under the hood in the fuse box, there's a blower motor relay, there are 2 other items in there that share the same type relay, you can swap them and see if that resolves the problem, if it does then you know which relay to get just make sure to put the good relay back wherever you got it

sometimes the connections on the knob get jostled loose

there's a common issue that causes this behavior but um.. for some reason I can't remember exactly what it was, but i do think it was the relay that causes it

Could that possibly just cause #1 low setting not to work? We have 2,3,& 4, but no low.

Thanks for the fast reply. It looks like I have a project for this weekend, if the dealer has the part.

I had this exact same problem and took it to the dealer thinking it's covered under warranty. They gave me a strange excuse that it's not and it cost me about $500 to fix.
