i dont think a taller antenna would do anything, the FM AM bands done work like CB bands i dont think. i know my mom's accord got better reception than any other cards we had and it's antenna is integrated into the rear window. |

You could always try a signal amplifier http://www.crutchfield.com/p_12044UA60/FM-Signal-Amplifier.html?tp=3351 Or you could buy an aftermarket head unit. Pioneer's super tuner seems to have a good reputation. |

Ya Ive actually got an aftermarket JVC which i kinda hate but got a smokin deal on it. Only problem is i live in mountanous country and signals suck around here, also alot of my problem I beleive is due to the fact only a couple inches of my antenna stick above the roof line of the jeep, if i got another foot up than signal would improve as the jeep wouldnt block alot of the signal. And I have looked at the boosters but they really only work in flat country. I have also thought about adding a small roof mount antenna if I cant get a longer mast for my am/fm |

yup you could put a combo antenna on the roof to accomodate both cb and am/fm if you desired, or.. simply am/fm |

the way FM radio antenna's work they use the car to boost the signal reception, its like if you touch a standalone radio antenna YOU act as the signal booster. raising it wont do much, like lifting your cell phone usually doesn't work so well. |

i agree with that too, you typically don't get FM reception if you don't have LOS about your only real option is satelite radio and even those tend to suck depending on which mountains you live in |
