Ok so I went to put my sub back in my car from taking it out bc I went on a trip and I needed some room for lugage. Well I was going to put it back together and didn't disconnect the fuse. Well as I was putting on a wire it started sparking at me. Well I thought nothing of it untill I remembered the fuse. So I disconnected that and wen on my way. So I hooked everything up and went to go turn on my stero and it won't turn on!!!! My stero won't even light up but the whole rest of the car works and my car will start up. I can't find the codes thing or how to check them and I'm outside on my blackberry tryin to figure this out. Does anyone have any idea how to help me? Please?

also look for a fuse that is inline from your battery to your sub (on the power wire). and double check your ground (they will be the two biggest wires on your sub.. one probably red *power* the other prob. clear/grey/or black *ground*) also just double check you didnt bump anything on the amp that would cause it not to work.

this is assuming your talking about your stereo and sub. being the same thing.. if it's the radio just make sure fuse isnt blown... and maybe check your owners manual to see if it has a 'locking/security' feature..

if your HU isn't working just check your wiring to make sure you don't have your amp power / ground / speaker in / speaker out/ or amp turn on crossed. If your causing a short the radio may stay off for safety precaution. If your using a stock radio I don't believe any of them have a fuse on the head unit you'll have to check the one in the fuse panel, if you have an aftermarket HU, take it out and check the fuse on the back to see if it's blown.

Did you disconnect your battery first?? If not you may have shorted something out.. Man, I remember the time I left the back hatch open and I put the connector back on the battery and it sparked and shorted out my amp.. blew the fuses like POP POP AND POP POP... I was like darn.. :?

Yea that's why I moved mounted my amp to the seat so i just take the sub out with quick disconnects, 4ga wire can make some pretty cool lookin sparks though :D

glad to know you didn't short anything more than a fuse!
