Post subject:  Under Seat Subwoofer?

Anyone know of any good under seat subwoofers besides the Mopar one? Would a 6" bazooka tube fit? I want to add a little bass to what I already have. I already replaced the factory radio & speakers with a Sony Xplod Head Unit and 2-way Sony Xplod speakers. I don't want to go overboard and add anything in the trunk. I'll take suggestions.

Go to Crutchfield's website. They sell it there.

I would recomend a JL 8W7 on a mono amp under the rear seat. This will give you all the bass you could ever want. I do not see a Bazooka tube fitting under the seat. Also if you put it under any of the front seats this will take away foot room for any passengers in the rear seat. we installed the same in the rear of a 2009 CR-V and the bass is amazing from such a small driver. Good Luck.

I just bought the Sony Xplode 10" Slim Series Subwoofer. I don't think it's thin enough to stick under any seat in the Jeep. I bought it cause I got an awesome deal on it. I'm prabably going to throw it in the trunk which I'm not crazy about since I'm going to have to remove the extra shelf my Liberty came with from the dealer. I need to know what amp would work good with the subwoofer. The package says 1200W Peak 330 watt rated. It's confusing me how big of an amp I can install. Any suggestions?

I built a box under each front seat that each hold a JL Audio 8w3v3, they sounds fine just not very loud. There is also just enough room for them with some modifying the under side of my seats.

I also have pictures:

Thrill~

What is the cubic feet recommended for those 8" subs? Those boxes are SWEET!!! How much would you charge to build me some? I live in San Angelo Texas, so a road trip would be WELL worth it!

Thrillhouse. Sweet! Do you have electric seats? Would you be willing to give out the design dimensions of those boxes you made or as Texasrock asked, make them to sell?

I only got about .3 cubic feet out of them, I'm sure I could get close to .35 if I needed to. These boxes are actually for sale because I'm in the process of putting 4 of these subs in the back. Also I don't have electric seats. As far as if anyone wants to buy mine do keep in mind that it's made for the "khaki" colored interior.

So how much would you be willing to part with them for?

I live in San Angelo... may need to make a trip up there and we can redo my system!

I would let you have them for $100 which is a good deal considering that I would charge someone about $300 cash plus parts to make them.

Hmmm... VERY tempting! Those would make GREAT midrange drivers...

the seats do block some of the sound, they do act as good midbass
