So for about 4 months now my OEM 6 disk player decides it doesn't want to play CDs after an hour or so of playing them just fine. Since I've owned the Jeep I've noticed that the CDs get super hot in the player, especially when the heater is on too, literally too hot to hold. I always thought this was normal but now I don't know, I think the heat has done in my player. Maybe a heater duct isn't hooked up all the way and heat is pouring into the dash cavity? I don't know.

Is this common? What can be done? If the OEM unit is toast I'm going to want to go with a better one that has all the cool stuff, Sirrus, Mp3, etc. (what else is there?) I've haven't been into car audio stuff for 20 years so enlighten me.

So any suggestions on what fits well in the KJ dash? Maybe that's another post but WTH, I'll tack it on here too.

Wow, am I really the only one experiencing this? Lucky me.
