I don't know if this was already posted, so I apologize if it is, however, I finished installing my hitch and sort of finished the wiring (for now).

Here is the finished product:

Here are the after pics:

I didn't really run the wiring hidden, yet. I'm hauling a boat this weekend and when I get back I'll see where I'd ideally like it. Any thoughts or suggestions from those of you with it all wired up? I'm going to post it in the electronics section too.

So I'd like to do an informal poll (hoping for pics posted if possible) on how you wired your trailer wiring? I'm looking for suggestions or advice on where you ran your wiring. I know what the directions say (and I've never run trailer wires before), speaker wires, yes, trailer no :) So I'm looking for the best way to hide as much as possible and still be usable. Please post up your pics or a reasonably good description.

Thanks!

I ended up buying the $70 (U.S.) module for the jeeps trailor lights... (local camper/trailor supply shop).... supposedly keeps a trailor wirings circuit short from taking out the whole electrical circuit on the jeep...

the unit has its own 10 amp fuse and wire run from the Jeeps battery along the frames topside to the rear drivers side tail- lamp assembly where I installed the module...

you will have to remove the tail light assemblies...mine are (2) screws each and then pull backwards)

there are (2) plugs on the module for the light connections, (you need to unplug the original tail-lamp plugs and insert the new connector in-between the rear lamps and the original...(1 left and 1 right)...(all run along side the original wiring harness)

now reinstall the tail lamps.

I run the actual trailor harness, (1) 4-pin plug, high along the bumper, again routed with the oem harness , and left it suspended above the ball...

I had to drill 1 small hole in the sheet metal (hidden in the tail lamp area) for a ground lug.. and used the supplied self tapping screw to mnt.

took maybe 45 minutes to complete...all wiring is mntd securely up and out of the way along the oem routes) ....

Sorry I dont have pics.... really is very easy install...( possibly easier than reading this) supplied instructions were actually fairly close on this one.
