Hi,

i have a CRD 2.5 2003 and have a problem with the Alarm. All of a sudden it goes off !!!! Middle of the night, during the day at work... etc. It's a real pain. My wife ready to set fire to the KJ !!!.

I check the KJ for maybe a fly inside that could have set off the alarm or something else, no. The Jeep is parked where no one can bump it or hit it to set the alarm off.

Any Ideas? i have been told it could be the battery not being up to charge and therefore setting off the alarm?! Is this correct? I do about 20mls a day tops could this cause, battery not fully charged up?

Fil.

Check your power & ground connections to the alarm.
If either has loosened, it will cause the alarm to false.

a marginal battery can cause all sorts of weird symptoms. Could also be the charging system.

20 miles a day is pretty low, almost not long enough time to warm it up, let alone keep the battery at top charge.
