I have gone through 2 locations on my Liberty for locations for a antenna location. I was wondering if people would like to add pics and description of their set up. I hated having to move my antenna when i opened my tailgate and when it was above my rear tail light and it wobbled a lot. So i want a GOOD location, but it would be cool if we could get a collaboration of them added here |

Here's mine but I must warn you that it's that this location is only for serious enthusiasts. Firestick ant and a stainless Dodge Ram bracket. Hole is already there on the fender lip. ![]() ![]() ![]()

How's the RFI there JL ? I have to move mine from the roof, apparently my new house & garage in IL does not have a 12-13' clearance I could take it off and put it back on everytime I intend to use it but dang, screw that |

additional 'sweetness' additions and modifications is what's holding me up from moving Never know when certain things might be necessary between NC and IL.. I lived there enough to know how IL construction season is |

Not sure why where you live has impact on why this would work or not. I wanted it up front so I can see it and it's clearance off road (the serious enthusiast thing). The tip of the antenna is also the same height of the total clearance with rack so it helps with suburban navigation. I don't know about RFI but the SWR has been tuned nicely... got my own SWR meter dontcha know... |

Look for my install post from way back in this section. I have replaced my radio antenna with a cb antenna. Requires some parts and mod work but I have been very happy with mine. |

My current antenna is on the roof and way too high to make it into the garage, not sure if im gonna fit in there anyway was just curious how the RFI from the engine was with it mounted up front, i'll probably end up giving it a try, gotta do somethin and get it off the roof "I don't know" would have suited just fine, either your cb pulls reception like a swarm of bumblebees at greater than 1/4 squelch or it doesn't |

![]() I mounted mine on the driver-side tab on the bar of the ARB bumper. It's nice having it up front where you can see it. It doesn't really affect vision at all and it's nice to know that it's still there and not torn off by some tree three miles ago. If I didn't have the ARB I'd probably do TokyoJoe's radio antenna replacement trick. In fact I planned to do that at one point, so if anyone's interested, I have a brand new am/fm-cb antenna splitter that I'd be willing to sell cheap. |
