How hard is it to beef up the wiring harness of a Libby and change the Alternator out for a larger one.. 06 Libby Sport Alt for a Reni 160amp Alt...

The original battery got a crack in it and corrosion ate threw my neg terminal... I replaced the battery from my 07 JK with a yellow top so I used the basically new battery from the JK in my Libby.. The replacement got a leak on the positive side of the terminal and ate part of it.. Luckily I was able to catch that one.. But that neg is just toast.. So I know I have to replace this crap factory harness. but you don't replace in a Jeep.. You upgrade.. I am wanting to make my own harness and use 0/1 welding wire.. Has anyone ever did that and if so, how hard would it be to make your own harness.. That factory harness is freakin lame.. :furious:

I am wanting the upgrade for the HAM equipment I am slowly going to be adding to my Libby.. Working on my Tech now and want to get my Extra Class..
