Short Wave

Anyone have a ham radio? I'm thinking about doing an Icom 2000H but don't know where to mount it. If anyone has suggestions I'd appreciate them. Many of us are moving to shortwave just for better distance, etc.

I do but I'm using an Icom T7H handheld with a mag mount antenna so I can move it between our vehicles.

I have had an FT100 in the liberty since I got it new, had it in the Cherokee before that. it is mounted under the drivers seat and the control head is on the dash.
Right now I have a Randger 2950 in it because the ft100
stop working on 2m here is what I did fot the 2950 its a big radio about the size of the Cobra 148

Im 6.2 and 215 it doesn interfere with the seat just have to look for the seat beltwhen I get in.

It does about 15 to 18 on am and about 25 on USB
I dont have it tuned up high .It drives a low drive amp it will drive the Palamar 660 fine on 28.400 where I use it .I have a third one that I cant get finals for ,It a spare parts rado now . The 2970 is fine it will do over 100 on USB and I havent had any problems with it either. Have had more problems with my Kenwood and Yasue than the Rangers.
