I got the gauge pod through JBA

I will have a write up, and some step by step picture on how to do this once i get the gauge pod to start installing everything.

What you need (not pictured is Gauge Pod, waiting for delivery)

18 Gauge wire, the T-fitting is for the oil sender, so if you dont get a oil sensor you wont need it. but its a T-fitting for re-using the stock oil sensor and using the autometer sender unit to communicate with the gauge, 2 gauges of your choice.

Oil Pressure (light bulb is shown too, goes into the back

Added these to the points where your wiring goes to make it a little easier and the ends on the lights wiring so i can extend the length

The kool kids used to mount the oil pressure sender deal to a short length of steel braided hose and then the hose to the block. This way the vibrations wouldn't kill the senders which was a problem with the aftermarket deals. Just sayin'

i might have to join the cool kid club. ill be going to the store for oil tomorrow and then that way i can get some braided line too. but i might just add it to the tee fitting. the 3.7 does not shake THAT much compared to a 4.6 range rover engine. it did fine, but i rather be safe

I can't seem to find a pod for a 2006 liberty, I e-mailed them and asked if this one will work but haven't got a reply yet. :furious:

appreciate it, i've been eyeballing that since before I got my UCA's

if it doesn't match good, i'd probably end up ordering the black one, and then source a passenger pillar from a black interior KJ

I'd prob just get a black one then make a paracord braided cover for the grab handle

The interior is pretty much the only thing I haven't started messing with

look like the oil pressure gauge is going to have to wait, i cant figure out how to take off the sensor. it was a PITA and i didnt have time to mess around with taking it off so i just changed my oil. might just wait for a m&g to have everyone help with the gauge

are you putting it in above the oil filter or is there a other place to put this in the system thanks

above the oil filter because im not going to waste $50 on braided line

they're usually pretty tight and most manu's put yellow loctite on them

a good rap on the handle of the wrench with another wrench will usually pop the threads loose

i was reading somewhere that if i jack it up, and turn the wheels all the way to the right, it is easy to access it through the passenger side if you slink your hand through it i guess. i dunno, i might try it again tomorrow if i really want to. we will see.
