Ok so i bought a new deck today and after taking out the last one (kenwood). Then after i hooked up the new jvc and then turned my key just to get power and every gauge spedo and all went all the way up then back down. Also the automatic locks do not work eather.

I've installed thousands of decks in my long career and I never had that happen.... hopefully, you just blew a fuse.... hopefully. The biggest rookie mistake is using the illum wire for ground and maybe you fried the BCM or some such computer by doing so.
