I installed an aftermarket Curtis trailer hitch and wiring harness on my 2008 liberty. After I got it all wired up only the passenger side blinker and brake lights will work. I've checked the fuses under the hood and they're fine, then I checked the 4 pin connector coming from the jeep and only the passenger side is getting power. My ground should be good because I sanded off some paint right behind the tail light to ensure a good ground. Are there any fuses hiding somewhere that I should check? This is driving me crazy. Checked the trailer lights and they work fine on another car so I know it's not them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

there's relays in the pass rear fender inside the vehicle

need to make sure you're plugs wired correctly and securely

recheck your plugs right side tap

parking and left turn and brake all come from the left(drivers) on the factory trailer harness (originates from the drivers side literal harness)

only thing that comes from the right(pass) side is the pass side turn signal (originates from the pass side literal crossover harness)

edit: missed the 2008 part, as far as "I know" the vehicle harness is still wired in this manner

is the aftermarket harness you're using the kind that plugs into the back of the tail light etc??

if so, the plug in for the pass side light appears to not be functioning

yeah, it's one of the one's that your supposed to be able to just plug in and run a power wire to the battery and it work. Just can't understand why only the passenger side is getting power.

sorry read your post backwards

did you double check to make sure the Drivers side plug in for the harness was in properly?

what you can do if you have a multimeter is check the harness and trailer plug on your jeep to make sure the wires aren't broken somewhere or wired incorrectly from where you got it

yeah, I've unplugged and plugged it in several time to make sure it was plugged in securely. I've checked the 4 pin connector coming from the jeep with a test light and the only pin giving off a signal is the green wire or right side turn signal. Nothing else is working. Even tried swapping out the 4 pin connector to see if it was that and the same thing. I know it worked before because it was on my friends liberty. Same year and everything.

need to check continuity between the plug that isn't working and the 4 pin, make sure theres not a break in the harness you bought and that it's wired where you think it is (from them) it could have a wire switched or something
