Good news! I just purchased a 300k (yellow) High Intensity Discharge conversion kit from www.hidheadlightkit.com. They cost $79 for low beams and bixenon (high & low) for $149. I bought the low beams for the heads and fogs. I decided not to go with the bixenon because a friend told me that when you switch to high there is a mechanical movement inside the ballast, meaning just something that will break eventually. Plus the 3000ks are extremely bright in the first place and I have a light bar, so I figured I'd never need the high beams anyhow. I got a lifetime warranty for both sets at $10 each. From the looks of it they sell a quality product. Once I get them installed I will post pictures. $179 after all was said and done. |

Here's a teaser! ![]() I am waiting on the company to send me a replacement headlight hid bulb. When I was installing them the bulb broke. One quick phone call, no questions asked, and I dont have to send the broke one back. Should be getting it Thursday. More pics then. I went ahead and did a Turtle Wax headlight restoration on fogs and heads. It works decent, but my lights were too foggy in the first place. I was installing the fog lights (you must remove the heads and fogs from the vehicle to do the installation!) and I was finding loads of dirt and clay sitting behind the fog housing. The little plastic piece that lets you access the fogs had fallen off and I didn't put it back till just now (bad idea). All clean now. What do you think so far? |

Did you have to modify the housing to get these to work because I have been looking at the HID conversion kits for my 05 CRD just for the extra output. Plus i have 4 HID warns going on a roof rack |
