Yes I did search and found similar issues, but no resolution.

06 KJ and the driver's side brake light does not work when the brake pedal is depressed or when the running lights are on. The bulb was blown and the socket looked burned, so I replaced both to no avail. I've swapped bulbs and sockets from other locations in the housing and still nothing, however they do work in other locations in the housing, so the bulbs and sockets are good. I then tested the the ground and both positive contacts at the housing, and 12V is getting to the housing both when the brake pedal is pressed and when the running lights are turned on.

Initially I thought it was a bad ground, but now it doesn't appear so. Does anyone have any ideas? Not sure how I'm getting power to the housing, but the lights aren't working.
