Does anyone have any experience it Tunable antennas such as the Firestik II. I am wondering if they are really worth messing with. I am an electrical engineering tech so I understand the principles behind and could easily tune them but are they really worth it? This will be used offroad constantly and will be removed when around town because I am tired of having CB equipment stolen :furious: So please anyone who has one or has used them give me some feedback tiring to get a list of new CB equipment together to get the best kit possible.

I have a Firestik. As for gear getting stolen, quit parking in bad neighborhoods.

Very happy with my fire stick2. Slapped it on a lot of trees this year and still works great. 8) Kansas is not so bad you just were at the wrong truckstop at the wrong time.

tunable is easy, i have two. very simple. set it and forget it ( unless you add metal on the top of your rig). If you wanna remove i suggest a quick disconnect

Totally agree with the quick disco. Takes 3 seconds to take it off with a wist of the wrist. Same goes for putting it back.
