I'm been tasked by my better half to investigate options for rear-seat infotainment (movies, games, etc.) for the kids, preferably using something built into the front seat headrests. I know I'll either have to buy an aftermarket headrest or get a monitor fitted into factory headrests by a custom shop or my me. What I'd like to know is what's out there as far as products go? I've been busy with small children for 4 years and haven't been keeping up with the auto aftermarket... Here's what I'd like:
- Ability to play DVD(s) with option for wired or wireless headphones
- Some kind of built-in speakers in case they aren't or don't want to use the headphones.
- Different sources on different screens (optional)
- Control from the front seat (optional)
- Front seat video playback (optional)
- stuff other than DVDs (movie content on digital media, game console plugin, etc.)
- stuff other than videos (i.e. full "carputer" capabilities with potential for anything you can put in a car computer.
If y'all have any links, ideas, etc. I'd appreciate it.
Dan
