hi,
while testing my new tires on an unpaved road, i passed over a pothole and that shook a bit the Libbie.
The EVIC immediately indicated : "Hood open". i stopped, open and closed the hood a few times. Started the KJ again but the signal remains...

Nothing serious but i am going for an off-road week-end next week and i will need my miles calculator on the EVIC to follow the road book, and now i can only read "Hood open"....
I could not find the contactor under the hood, is it in the closing device itself ? Could it a blown out fuse ?

thanks for any input

cheers!

The switch is on the right, just behind the airbox on the inner wheel well, next to the hoodstrut.

Hope you can find it now. If it's not there, it broke off and fell down. If you do find it broken, just tape it in the compressed position (or a zip-tie) and the Evic will no longer say your hood is open.

Thanks again Tony !
i guess its time to replace my glasses... the switch was pretty much in my face...
the switch was loose so it must have slipped on the side of the plastic part from the hood that presses on it. So i fixed it back and pressed it a few times on it.
It's all good !!
Am all ready for my wheeling week-end !! thanks !

No problem bud, glad you could fix it. Use some silicone based lube on the switch if it goes down difficult.
