Ugh, I have never dealt with the crap in any vehicle I've owned. I want to put a nice set of components in the front of my KJ but I'd also like to run new wiring instead of using the factory stuff. The rubber boot between the door and the vehicle has this stupid modular plug in it that won't allow any wires to be passed through. What is the solution for this? Do you pretty much have to remove the door and drill through it?

Does anyone know what the wire gauge is of the factory wiring?

I ran my wire trough the plastic block by cutting one of the dividers out anough to allow the wire to pass through. Easy as pie. Used a shot of silicon sealer to close up the smace around the wire also.
