I bought an 04 Renegade with TPMS a few weeks ago, and every time I start it up, the EVIC says "Tire Sensor Bad/Missing" or something along those lines. It shows readings for all 4 of the tires on the ground, and today I tried resetting the sensors, and it was successful. Each sensor, including the spare, made the horn beep to confirm the sensor wasn't bad.
I've tried searching, but all of the posts similar to mine don't seem to get resolved, or end up being sensors, but my sensors all reset, so they shouldn't be bad.
One dealer I had look at it said the EVIC had to be replaced, but ordered the wrong part 3 times, so I haven't been back there since, and if it is the EVIC, I'm pretty sure I can handle installing that myself.

Anyone have any clue whats going on? Is there a separate TPMS module that could be acting up, or is that inside the EVIC?

ya, I relearned all 5, I did a little more research and found out that the message can come on if a battery is low, not just dead, so I might check how much 5 sensors costs at a dealership tomorrow.

Anyone have any other ideas other than a low/dead sensor?
