I installed an aftermarket stereo in my KK a few months ago and ever since it has been on all the time. I have to manually turn it on and off, instead of powering on/off with the accessory power. I used a harness adapter and everything is connected to the proper wires as far as I can tell. The accessory wire has power and a good connection. I talked to the store I bought it from (car toys) and they told me that the KK has a factory amplifier for the sound system (I have the basic system) and that's why it doesn't respond to accessory power. Anyone else have this issue? Is there a factory amp with the basic system?

I found this: http://www.scosche.com/car-audio/product/1685
- Provides +12V switched ACC power wire for Aftermarket unit (+Acc power is lost when factory head unit is removed)
- Auto-detects Factory Amplified Systems and turns on system digitally via data. (2-channel input only on Premium amplified versions)

Scoche has a great customer service. Give them a call and ask them to be sure. Also on the product page it says "coming soon"

I already sent them an email asking about availability. It would be nice to not have to worry about turning it off. I've already forgotten twice.... :dead:

is it a Pioneer? Then you will have to switch the red and yellow wires normally.
