best I've heard is Sears Diehard Platinum - same as the Odyssey - but cheaper

otherwise - folks tend to migrate to cheapest available

but - avoid Optima - they moved production out of Colorado and to Mexico a couple of years ago - new stuff dies consistently 2 to 2 1/2 years

Sears Diehard Platinum - same as the Odyssey as stated by ATXKJ. I purchased the Sears a few months ago. My KJ just sits around most of the time while I only drive it once in a while. The original battery would just about be dead and crank very slowly from sitting. The Sears battery cranks fast every time.
