Post subject:  off road dash warning indicator
I have been studying the circuits for the optional roof mount lights and can see the switch for this option sends a signal to the body control unit (gray connector C1 pin 19) which then illuminates the indicator on instrument cluster to show they are on.
IS this input a + signal or a -(gnd) signal?
I want to use the indicator lamp but not with Jeep switch (I don't have a switch) so fishing around with meter is not possible.
the car is 2003 KJ

Hey, all it needs is a ground signal to turn on the dash light.

These are some pics of where the connector is and where pin #19 is for people who plan on doing this..

These two connectors are located on the reverse side of the fuse box. Really high up under the foot well.

(If you dont have the factory renegade switch, all you have to do is place a ground wire in that empty slot.)
